Pizza Hut Delivery approached ICAN with the brief to get their delivery service top of mind during the World Cup 2010. So, to cheer up Irish footie fans about that “Handball Incident’, and to get people talking about Pizza Hut Delivery, ICAN created a tasty social media recipe for success.
Brief: 3 wanted to create a social media presence to interact with, engage and tempt mobile phone users not signed up with 3.
Our strategy was to create a Facebook page where they 3 could ‘flirt’ with potential customers: talk to them, engage with them, and ultimately tempt them into becoming customers. We aimed to create continuous engagement on the page with fun competitions, quizzes and giveaways
Our Bulmers Pear Facebook page was all about promoting sampling events in pubs nationwide. We started fun conversations around the events and answered questions from fans. This strategy took the online community offline to a real event and then back online to engage with the brand again.
Social media is playing an ever more important role in the make-up of any Irish brand, a fact now officially acknowledged by the Irish advertising industry. This year, for the first time ever, two social media campaigns have won prestigious awards; Pizza Hut Delivery and Bulmers Pear, both created by ICAN.
